A unique, handmade Cancer fairy sculpture with vintage charm – a special star sign gift or collectable piece for the home.

The Cancer Woman

Birth dates: 21 June – 22 July

When I created the Cancer fairy, I imagined a woman sitting quietly by the sea at night, watching the moonlight on the water and thinking about life.

She doesn’t always need something to be happening around her.

Sometimes she likes to stop, enjoy the quiet and look a little deeper than what can be seen at first glance. There are things she doesn’t want to dismiss with a quick answer. She would rather give them time.

To me, there is something very pure and honest about her. She doesn’t always need to fill the silence with conversation. She is comfortable in it.

Perhaps that’s why I imagined her beside the sea. The water moves, the moonlight shifts across its surface and everything around her is quiet – while she simply sits, watches and thinks.

Not because she is sad.

She simply likes to go a little deeper sometimes.

When I created this Cancer fairy, this is the woman I had in mind.

Perhaps you know one.

Perhaps you are one.

Why These Colours?

The colour palette of each of my 12 Star Sign Fairies is inspired by the main and lucky colours traditionally associated with that particular star sign.

The whites, silvery tones and pale blues of this Cancer fairy are therefore no accident. The moon, the water and the delicate shimmering details connect her to her star sign, while her overall appearance carries the romantic, vintage feel that characterises the Star Sign Fairy collection.

But for me, the colours are only the beginning.

I’m not trying to turn a horoscope description into a sculpture. I want to show the woman I see behind each star sign.

She Has Her Own Name

In my fairy world, each of the twelve Star Sign Fairies has her own fairy name.

The Cancer fairy is called Moonshell.

Her name is part of my little fairy world. But above all, she is a handmade Cancer Fairy in which you might recognise yourself – or a woman you know well.

A Little Sculpture – Only One of Its Kind

I shape and assemble every fairy individually by hand. Her dress, hair, wings and tiny details give each piece its own character.

That means no two fairies are ever exactly alike.

I may create another Cancer fairy, but there will never be another one exactly like this.

This is a decorative fairy sculpture created for indoor display only – perfect for a shelf, mantelpiece, display cabinet or a special little place in the home where she can truly stand out.
