The Sagittarius Woman

Birth dates: 22 November – 21 December

When I created the Sagittarius fairy, I didn’t imagine a wild, blazing fire. To me, her fire is more like a cold fire – controlled, elegant and completely focused on its target. A Sagittarius woman doesn’t shoot her arrows blindly. She watches, chooses her target and only then raises her bow. That target might be a goal in life, a dream, or even the person she loves. If she knows she has found the right one, she can hold on for a very long time. But if she realises she has chosen the wrong target, she can let go, find a new direction and move on.

There is something naturally elegant about her too. She knows how to behave, understands the rules, and when the situation calls for it, she can follow them perfectly. She doesn’t need to prove her strength. Her strength is in knowing exactly what she is aiming for. To me, this is what makes her different from the other two fire signs. Aries charges forward. Leo rules. Sagittarius aims.

When I created this Sagittarius fairy, this is the woman I had in mind. Perhaps you know one. Perhaps you are one.

Why These Colours?

The colour palette of each of my 12 Star Sign Fairies is inspired by the main and lucky colours traditionally associated with that particular star sign. The purple, gold and deeper shades of this Sagittarius fairy are therefore no accident. The colours connect her to her star sign, while the delicate details and overall appearance give her the romantic, vintage feel that characterises the Star Sign Fairy collection. But for me, the colours are only the beginning. I’m not trying to turn a horoscope description into a sculpture. I want to show the woman I see behind each star sign.

She Has Her Own Name

In my fairy world, each of the twelve Star Sign Fairies has her own fairy name. The Sagittarius fairy is called Horizonsoul. Her name is part of my little fairy world, but above all, she is a handmade Sagittarius Fairy in which you might recognise yourself – or a woman you know well.

A Little Sculpture – Only One of Its Kind

I shape and assemble every fairy individually by hand. Her dress, hair, wings and tiny details give each piece its own character, so no two fairies are ever exactly alike. I may create another Sagittarius fairy, but there will never be another one exactly like this. This is a decorative fairy sculpture created for indoor display only – perfect for a shelf, mantelpiece, display cabinet or a special little place in the home where she can truly stand out.
