The Taurus Woman

A Taurus woman likes to have solid ground beneath her feet.

Home, family, security and everything she has built around herself over the years matter to her. She appreciates beautiful things and life’s little luxuries too – especially when she knows she has worked for them.

She doesn’t easily let go of what matters to her. People, memories, possessions – she likes to keep and protect the things she considers her own.

To me, there is something very strong, grounded and feminine about her. She is often the one who holds everything together. She may not be the loudest person in the family, but without her, things might just start to fall apart.

She loves comfort, familiar things and the little world she has created around herself. Once she has built a life in which she feels happy and secure, she sees little reason to turn everything upside down just for the sake of change.

When I created this Taurus fairy, this is the woman I had in mind.

Why These Colours?

The colour palette of each of my 12 Star Sign Fairies is inspired by the main and lucky colours traditionally associated with that particular star sign.

The greens, natural tones and softer feminine shades of this Taurus fairy are therefore no accident. The colours connect her to her star sign, while the delicate details and overall appearance give her the romantic, vintage feel that characterises the Star Sign Fairy collection.

But for me, the colours are only the beginning.

I’m not trying to turn a horoscope description into a sculpture. I want to show the woman I see behind each star sign.

She Has Her Own Name

In my fairy world, each of the twelve Star Sign Fairies has her own fairy name.

The Taurus fairy is called Earthy.

Her name is part of my little fairy world. But above all, she is a handmade Taurus Fairy in which you might recognise yourself – or a woman you know well.

A Little Sculpture – Only One of Its Kind

I shape and assemble every fairy individually by hand. Her dress, hair, wings and tiny details give each piece its own character.

That means no two fairies are ever exactly alike.

I may create another Taurus fairy, but there will never be another one exactly like this.

This is a decorative fairy sculpture created for indoor display only – perfect for a shelf, mantelpiece, display cabinet or a special little place in the home where she can truly stand out.
