The Leo Woman

She is the Queen of the Savannah.

She loves comfort, beauty, sunshine and everything that makes life around her feel just a little more luxurious.

She isn’t necessarily in a hurry to go anywhere. Why should she be?

Why waste energy when you’re already the Queen?

A Leo woman loves her own world and her freedom. She knows how she wants to live, she knows what she likes, and she isn’t particularly pleased when someone tries to tell her how to run her own kingdom.

There is drama in her too – naturally. But her drama doesn’t happen quietly in the background. When she walks into a room, she likes to be noticed. If she wants to shine, she will shine.

And there is something completely natural about her confidence: as though she has never needed to decide whether or not she is the Queen.

To her, it’s simply obvious.

Her kingdom. Her rules.

When I created this Leo fairy, this is the woman I had in mind.

Why These Colours?

The colour palette of each of my 12 Star Sign Fairies is inspired by the main and lucky colours traditionally associated with that particular star sign.

The gold, bronze, brown and sunlit shades of this Leo fairy are therefore no accident. To me, these colours carry the warmth of the sun, the glow of gold and a little of the atmosphere of the African savannah.

The colours connect her to her star sign, while the delicate details and overall appearance give her the romantic, vintage feel that characterises the Star Sign Fairy collection.

But for me, the colours are only the beginning.

I’m not trying to turn a horoscope description into a sculpture. I want to show the woman I see behind each star sign.

She Has Her Own Name

In my fairy world, each of the twelve Star Sign Fairies has her own fairy name.

The Leo fairy is called Goldheart.

Her name is part of my little fairy world. But above all, she is a handmade Leo Fairy in which you might recognise yourself – or a woman you know well.

A Little Sculpture – Only One of Its Kind

I shape and assemble every fairy individually by hand. Her dress, hair, wings and tiny details give each piece its own character.

That means no two fairies are ever exactly alike.

I may create another Leo fairy, but there will never be another one exactly like this.

This is a decorative fairy sculpture created for indoor display only – perfect for a shelf, mantelpiece, display cabinet or a special little place in the home where she can truly stand out.
